  •   1965-1969和1978-1981兩次中國(guó)科學(xué)院上海生物化學(xué)研究所研究生畢業(yè)。1986年任生化所副研究員,1993年任研究員,博士生導(dǎo)師。長(zhǎng)期以氨基酰-tRNA合成酶及其相關(guān)tRNA為對(duì)象研究酶與核酸的相互作用,以期加深人們對(duì)蛋白質(zhì)生物合成質(zhì)量控制機(jī)理的理解。曾獲得國(guó)家自然科學(xué)二等獎(jiǎng),上海市自然科學(xué)一等獎(jiǎng)、二等獎(jiǎng),何梁何利科技進(jìn)步獎(jiǎng),七次中國(guó)科學(xué)院研究生導(dǎo)師獎(jiǎng),為全國(guó)勞動(dòng)模范?!渡茖W(xué)》和《生命的化學(xué)》副主編,《生物化學(xué)與生物物理學(xué)報(bào)》、《中國(guó)生物化學(xué)與分子生物學(xué)雜志》。EMBO J、Nucleic Acids Research、J. Biol. Chem.Scientific Reports等雜志的審稿人。為中國(guó)科學(xué)院院士(2005年)、第三世界科學(xué)院(TWAS)院士(2006年)和中國(guó)醫(yī)學(xué)科學(xué)院學(xué)部委員(2019年)。

    研究工作:
  •   長(zhǎng)期從事生物化學(xué)與分子生物學(xué)研究。目前主要以tRNA和相關(guān)氨基酰-tRNA合成酶為對(duì)象核酸與酶的相互作用研究。氨基酰-tRNA合成酶是蛋白質(zhì)生物合成過(guò)程中的關(guān)鍵酶,它催化蛋白質(zhì)生物合成過(guò)程中的第一步反應(yīng)-tRNA氨基?;磻?yīng)。氨基酰-tRNA合成酶對(duì)tRNA的精確識(shí)別保證了遺傳信息由核酸傳遞到蛋白質(zhì)的精確性,所以研究tRNA與氨基酰-tRNA合成酶的相互作用具有重要的生物學(xué)意義。隨著研究的深入,該項(xiàng)研究還可以為人類的疾病防止和治療、改善人類生存環(huán)境提供理論依據(jù)和新的思路。

      研究組已發(fā)表研究論文120余篇。研究結(jié)果2400余次被包括《生物化學(xué)年鑒》和《細(xì)胞》中的綜述,《美國(guó)科學(xué)院院報(bào)》,《歐洲分子生物學(xué)組織雜志》和《分子細(xì)胞》等學(xué)術(shù)刊物的研究論文引用。研究組與法國(guó),加拿大,美國(guó)等多家實(shí)驗(yàn)室有合作研究關(guān)系。
